We would like to introduce to you our Solakha Noyi who hails from Kwanokuthula, just outside Plettenberg Bay. Solakha joined Born in Africa while she was in high school attending Wittedrift High. Wow, we didn’t realise at first just exactly how talented and gifted this young lady was, until she unveiled to us all the projects and programs she was involved in. During her high school career, she became Junior Police Commissioner for Plettenberg Bay. She also visited Geneva, Switzerland as she is an avid child advocate for several organisations. At school in her final year in 2025, she was selected as Vice President and also served 2 years as a hostel prefect. Solakha played hockey for her school’s first team and was always ready to take on any project which would benefit others. She gave of herself during her high school career. Now, Solakha is doing something for herself and that is realising her own dreams. She has been accepted to study at the renowned University of Pretoria. Yes, she is very far away from the Born in Africa mother ship and this is a first for us too, but with her tenacity, it was condoned. She is studying a Bachelor degree of Political Sciences specialising in International Relations. Yes, although this course might sound challenging to most of us, we are certain, Solakha has got this one! We wish Solakha all the best for her studies, we continue to be her biggest fans!
