Our Charlotte comes from the Griekwa community of Kranshoek and is one of 5 siblings. She graduated from Wittedrift High school and was very ready to embark on her dream career, that of nursing.
Jonica Booysen is truly one of our miracle students. Given the minimum amount of cards life has dealt this young lady, she has truly purposefully altered the course of her life.
Micail Booysen has always been one of our very dedicated students. She was awarded a bursary to attend Wittedrift High where she obtained excellent results, gaining her entrance to Varsity College in Cape Town where she commenced in 2021 as first year Bachelor of Arts student.
Anesipho is a bit of an exemption to the rules at Born in Africa, as she only entered the program in grade 12, her last year of secondary school.
Regi, as he is fondly known, was a student at Wittedrift High when he became a part of Born in Africa. His points were excellent and his school attitude showed he was passionate and determined to do well.
Marcell Patterson, or Patty as we have fondly grown to know him comes from the Kranshoek community just outside Plettenberg Bay.
Bongani Mdlazi grew up in Kurland Village, The Crags. He formed a family at the Grace house Safehouse, and he joined Born in Africa while still at primary school.
Michaela Whaites is a very passionate and motivated young lady whose favourite subjects in high school were physical science and accounting.
Ragne grew up in the community of Kranshoek with her mom and dad, but after the sudden death of her dad, her mom and grandma played very important roles in her life.
