The township of Green Valley is situated some distance from the school, and these children have to walk in excess of six kilometres per day to get there. There are about 200 students enrolled at the school, with six teachers taking responsibility for seven classes. BIA has helped out by supplying a mentor at Wittedrift, as well as volunteers who support the teachers in the morning by working individually with the weaker learners.
