Auriel Thys, our girl hailing from The Crags completed her primary schooling at The Crags Primary, where she also joined the Born in Africa program. From there, she progressed to Wittedrift Highschool, where she completed her secondary education at the end of 2025.
Avuye Mkalipi
Avuye is one of 2 siblings who was raised by her single mom, hailing from Kwanokuthula, Plettenberg Bay.
Bernice Manu
We would like to introduce you to Bernice Manu who joined the Born in Africa program in 2025, together with her younger sister Peace. Bernice completed her high school career at Wittedrift High school that same year.
Caitlin Cunningham
he graduated from Wittedrift High school in 2023 and just like that Caitlin has moved in right next to Newlands Cricket Stadium, where she will commence her Tertiary studies at Varsity College in 2024.
Cheston Pedro
Cheston lives in Kranshoek and was raised by his grandmother. He is a young man with a dream and a vision to succeed. After graduating from Plett Secondary school in 2015 Cheston realised that he needed to streamline his computer skills and mathematics.
Kabelo Modise
Kabelo lives in Kranshoek with his four siblings, mother and father. His older brother Katleho also studied through the Born in Africa programme.
Cally Kleinsmidt
Cally Kleinsmidt started her primary school at Kranshoek Primary until grade 3, where she joined the Born in Africa program, and then completed her second phase of primary school at Plettenberg Bay Primary. This was the wish of her late father come true. From there, she progressed to Wittedrift Highschool where she completed her secondary school career.

Cheinique Seedat hails from Kurland Village, The Crags where she grew up and joined Born in Africa right from the get-go in Grade 1!
Katleho Modise
atleho has always been a young man with a vision. After he graduated from Plett Secondary he was not accepted at university level to study architecture.

Suleiman is from Kurland Village, The Crags. He grew up in very tough circumstances without his parents but luckily his aunt took care of him.

Our Courtney hails from the small community of Kurland Village, The Crags. She tragically lost her mother and is being raised single handily by her father who is doing a terrific job given the circumstances.

Suwaida Grootboom hails from Kurland Village, The Crags. She completed her three year diploma at South Cape College in George in Educare.
