Support Our Homework Centres
We currently run three homework centres which cater for the extra educational needs of the Born in Africa children. This is a safe place for them to complete their daily homework under supervision, work on school projects, perform extra language and mathematical revision and receive additional computer training.
In addition to the afternoon classes, Born in Africa supports a specialised reading programme by employing three full time reading assistants in three of our schools. The reading assistants act as aid for the class teacher by focusing on the individuals who need extra help with basic reading skills.
By supporting this project you truly aid in the educational development of our disadvantaged youth. You will receive information about the running of the homework classes and the assistant teachers and at the end of the year we will send you with information about the programs and the plans for the next year.
