Suwaida Grootboom

Suwaida Grootboom hails from Kurland Village, The Crags. She completed her three year diploma at South Cape College in George in Educare. Her family is one of the original families who have been living in the area with much cultural history and stories to share. They have also had many generations of poverty, yet have always been incredibly proud to move ahead and make a difference in future generations. Suwaida lives with her mother and extended family and has completed her practical training at her aunt’s chrece situated in Kurland Village. She currently works there taking care of children on a daily basis and teaching them very important development skills. Congratulations Suwaida on making a difference!
