Jean Pierre Plaatjies

Jean Pierre hails from the small community of Green Valley just outside Plettenberg Bay. He completed his schooling at Plett Secondary, a public school which services Afrikaans speaking learners from five communities around Plettenberg Bay. Class numbers of up to 60 learners never deterred this remarkable young man’s determination and he was awarded the school’s top learner award when he was in Gr 12. He was offered a merit tuition bursary by the Stellenbosch University in lieu of his excellent results and studied there for a period of 5 years thanks to the support of Born in Africa.

In 2021, JP graduated from the prestigious University in Stellenbosch with his qualification in Accounting. Well done, Jean Pierre! Good luck on your job hunt!
