24 August – Entrepreneurship at BIA

A group of Born in Africa learners had the privilege of taking part in the Enterprise Program which was created and hosted by BIA godparents Nick and Penny Brooks. The workshop included 25 people - Plett Sec learners who live in Kranshoek (grade 11 and 12) as well as BIA parents resident in Kranshoek.

During the workshops, Nick and Penny infused learners with their passion for business and entrepreneurship using their skills acquired as teaching and life skills professionals. The workshops included everything from target market analysis, creating a business plan, budget planning and cash flow to supplier and stock management, customer service and the pros and cons of self-employment.

Thank you Nick and Penny for inspiring an entrepreneurial spirit in our learners and equipping them with the skills they need to make their dreams a reality!
